What's it Worth? Appraisal for Waterfall Bedroom Set

Darlene asks:I have this art deco vanity with a dresser and nightstand. It belonged to my grandparents about who purchased it around 1919.

AW says: That’s part of a “Waterfall” style bedroom set, it gets the name from the top edged flowing over like a waterfall. It’s a veneer set, meaning there is a thin layer of high quality wood over secondary wood. This was done for affordability and style.

This style of furniture is now just gaining respect in the collectible market as it has just started getting noticed by designers and decorators.
