What's it Worth? Appraisal of Ege Rya Rug

 ege rya rugCarol asks:

This rug is 6’.7” x 9’.1” The design is Finnmok 05. It is in pristine condition with all pile in perfect shape. there is no visible wear, binding, edges, backing and pile have no fraying or wear marks or oders of any sort.

It was purchased from the factory in the 1970’s. It was used very briefly in a guest bedroom and then cleaned and rolled for storage. It has remained professionally rolled and stored, with periodic unrolling for inspection and airing. We would like to sell the rug and need to know its value in order to formulate a reasonable asking price.

Regards Carol

This is really one of my favorite rya rugs I’ve seen and an attractive design, epitomizing the genre. I think it’s a great example.
