What's it worth? Appraisal for Princess Diana and Prince Charles 1981 wedding plate

Princess Diana and Prince Charles 1981 wedding plate

 Beverly asks:

Hi, I’ve got this plate of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana. I would like to know how much it is worth now.
It is in a good condition. The pictures that I have forwarded to you have been taken recently. Please could you give me an idea of how much they are actually worth?

Thank you, Kind regards

PS This is the print on the front of the plate “THE MARRIAGE OF THE PRINCE OF WALES AND LADY DIANA SPENCER WEDNESDAY 29TH JULY 1981” And the back has printed “STAFFORDSHIRE VADERGLAZE PRINTING GENUINE HAND ENGRAVED MADE ENGLISH BY IRONSTONE TABLEWARE LTD ENGLAND”

Hi Beverly,

Thanks for your interest in my site.

Pricess Di and Charles items are popular, but there are a lot of these types of collector plates available and the market for them is all over the place.

One thing I love about your plate as opposed to most of the Chas & Di items, is that it’s a lovely transfer photo of them and the plate keeps the focus on THEM and not all of fluff and Coronation ornamentation that you see in so much of this type of collector plates, big points for that.

That being said, English Ironstone LTD is not a a very important Porcealin Manufacturer yet.

Right now, your plate would be worth $25.00 at the top end.

I’d tuck it away and let it increase in value.
