What's it worth? Appraisal of 19th century brass ships wheel

Bill asks:

This wheel is brass with oak handles. It measures about 30 inches tip to tip.

AW says: Ships wheels are starting to pop up quite often at many of the larger antiques shows. Many are coming out of of China. But your’s is a North Amnerican version. That, and the facts that it’s made of brass and in excellent condition, puts it in a very good price range.

Circa 19th century. As the  inner hardware indicates
