What's it worth? Appraisal of 24 Jones Shreve Brown and co knives

Pamela asks:

Hi I have an appraisal request. I have 10 large knives and 14 smaller knives and they probably need to be resilvered as the silver is sort of worn. The name on these knives says Jones Shreve Browne and Co. Boston.
I looked these up as best I can and it says that the name on the flatware made then was only made from 1855 to 1860. all of the knives have mother of pearl handles in perfect condition, all but one which has a piece that must have cracked off on the back of one of the knives…but the mother pearl has no crack in it and the integrity of the mother of pearl is intact. One of the smaller knives has a blade that has the tip cracked off, otherwise these are in very good condition structurally.

AW says:  Jones, Shreve Browne & co were Boston silversmiths who made very good quality wares, in sterling and silver-plate. The most expensive of these being of course in sterling. (Usually) While your knives are not sterling, I’m betting that if you look very close at the small band where the blade meets the handle, that is marked sterling.

What I like about these are the wonderful mother of pearl handles and the fact that you have 24 pieces of the set. My appraisal is for all 24 pieces in the condition they are in.
