Hey there Circus goers! Episode 15 of the Selling Circus was packed with information and fun, or as our friend John Lawson calls it, “edutainment”!

This was our monthly roundtable episode which featured as guests, Kat Simpson and John Lawson.

Phaedra moderated the show again, with all 3 of us on the hotseat. She’s gotten a new beeper to keep us to the 2 minute answer limit!

The questions asked were:

• When selling on a venue, what are your top three marketing suggestions?
•  Does that change if selling on your own website?
• What to look for in a mentor?
•  If you could only follow one person on Twitter, who would it be and why?
•  I am completely new to ecommerce, I look to you and ask, “where do I start?”
•  2 minutes each freestyle - whatever you did not get to say, here is your chance.

 In the mix, Phaedra also fielded some great questions from the chatroom which she said was on FIRE!

I’m glad to hear there’s such an interest in this format on the show. We have a list of people who’ve requested to come on for these round tables and will be picking some of the most interesting characters in and out of our genres. Judy’s take on the situation, is that there is no need to panic, and following Google’s new policy will work out best in the long-run for everyone without a lot of collateral damage.

The next topic we covered was the fact that antiques shows, flea markets and shops, seem to be making somewhat of a comeback. Rather than take sides, we on the show chose to address how doing both could work nicely together.

Also sending us here opinion was Susan Leak, aka Renegade. Susan is a dj, an Examiner, and an ecommerce merchant who has continually re-invented her brand while staying in the genre she loves. Music.

The chat room was very active and Phaedra and I have been pleased with the amount of participation in the live show. We ended with an appeal for folks to hit those Stumble and Digg buttons!  In the future, we’ll be letting you know where you can find the show on iTunes, Podcast Alley, The Blubrry Network and more.
